Marynissen
Since the Marynissens arrived in Canada in 1952 with not much more than a couple of nickels to rub together, Mary Nissen has thrived as a resident vineyard in the Niagara on the Lake region on Railroad Street (later known as Concession 1). Many varieties of wines are commercially available today such as Gamay, Chardonnay, Merlot, Riesling and what is now the oldest commercial planting of Cabernet Sauvignon in Canada (Since 1978).
